In working with clients that like to do their own home searches on the Internet we know that if you are not real familiar with the area that you may miss some homes or find too many and have a hard time narrowing it down by area. The Maps, information and pre-defined searches on this page are designed to help you have a better understanding and improve your searches.
The first mistake most out of town people make is just searching for St. George or in searching for just the 84770 zip code. St. George has two zip codes (84770, 84790) and is bordered on all sides by other cities. Many people will drive around looking at homes and actually be outside the city and not realize it. There are dozens of great areas to live that are only a few minutes drive outside St. George City limits.
In addition to the adjoining city issue there are areas inside the city (referred to as “communities”) that people like to zero in on. This Page will also help you become familiar with searching those areas. We recently added “communities” as one of the “advanced” search options on this website. The search engines on virtually all public websites including this site, Realtor.com and others are quite limited in the search options they offer when compared to what we as agents have on our MLS system. Searches directly on the MLS system almost always contain many more pictures, virtual tours and documents than you will find on public sites also.
